About us

We help reading feel possible again.

AZ Learning Bridge is a small, specialist practice in Arizona's East Valley. We work one-to-one with children and adults who struggle with reading — many of them dyslexic — using methods grounded in the science of how the brain learns to read.

Why we do this

Every learner who comes to us has a story — a child who dreads reading aloud, a teen quietly falling behind, an adult who has worked around it for years. None of them are "not trying hard enough." They simply haven't been taught the way their brain needs.

That's the gap we fill. We slow down, build from the ground up, and make the patterns of language explicit and concrete. Progress comes not from pressure, but from clarity — and from a learner finally feeling capable.

We started AZ Learning Bridge to give East Valley families a calmer, more personal alternative to big-box learning centers — real specialists, real relationships, and sessions that meet you where you are.

What we believe

The principles behind every session

Evidence first

We use structured literacy and Orton–Gillingham-based methods proven to work for dyslexic readers — not trends.

Patience, always

No shame, no rushing. Confidence grows when a learner feels safe to make mistakes and try again.

One size fits one

Every plan is built around a single learner's goals, pace, and interests — never a fixed curriculum on rails.

Visible progress

We track growth and share it plainly, so families always know what's improving and what's next.

Comfortable settings

Home, library, or our Gilbert offices — we meet where the learner feels most at ease and focused.

Family partnership

You're part of the team. We keep you in the loop and give you simple ways to support reading at home.
